About the Club

Pyles of Blood started as a small online Discord group, formed by a few friends who invited others to join. As the club grew, it became apparent that we had something special on our hands. Starting this year, we’re excited to announce that we’re opening up membership to the public. We welcome anyone who shares our passion for the game, regardless of their gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

We do have some expectations for our players and storytellers. If you agree with our guidelines and want to join us, please follow the instructions at the end of this message.

  1. Come with a good attitude. It’s okay to lose, disagree, and just be plain wrong about what is going on. It’s the nature of the game. But we all play the game for the same reason—to have fun. Coming in with a good attitude sets you up for having fun yourself, as well as other players.
  2. Please RSVP in Discord. This lets us know we have a quorum for a game, but also lets the storyteller know they don’t have to follow up with a player because they haven’t responded yet. Of course, people sometimes forget and that’s okay, but please strive to RSVP.
  3. No personal attacks. It’s perfectly fine to needle someone’s argument, it’s another to call that person stupid, dumb, etc. It’s a team game, and we’re all on the same team when it comes to wanting to feel respected and enjoy ourselves.
  4. Our club is for adults—16 years old+. Due to difficulty of the game and the mature language used in our group, we require all players be 16 or older to play in our games.
  5. Our games are conducted in English. This is a talking game, and being conversant in English is a must.

Milestones

To encourage participation, we’ve created some milestones for players and storytellers. Players who achieve certain milestones will be added to our leaderboard, considered for storytelling positions, and even featured on our website.

Games played in Pyles of Blood

  • 5 games: Get added to the %win of TGP leaderboard.
  • 15 games: If interested and capable, can become a storyteller and run games for the club. Storytelling preference is given to players who play regularly in our club.
  • 40 games: Get a pic and bio on the Pyles of Blood website as one of our regular players.
  • 100 games: Have a storyteller of your choice run a custom script of your choosing–or storytell it yourself!

How to Join Pyles of Blood

Joining our club is simple: join our Discord server and say hi in General chat. Tell us a bit about yourself! A moderator will let you know when the @players role has been added.
